  1. Sennheiser makes the best headphones out there today.

These, however, are not them. They are the worst headphones over 20 bucks I have ever listened too, and I must have 20 pairs of headphones/been djing since 1992. I love my big sennheisers so much i wouldn’t think of buying any other brand for portable listening right? I mean I have recommended sennheisers to hundreds of people. My little sony ericsson stereo bluetooth headset KILLS these..I mean destroys.

well listen bucko.. if they have a 50 dollar pair, an 80 dollar pair and a 120 pair I guess what they are trying to say is you better buy the $120 pair. I thought if a brand was going to lower quality on an item they were supposed to make up a new brand name. Hey guys, I’m willing to become your brand manager for a cool $120,000 a year because I now have to spend an hour figuring out how to return these things.

I wish this review had been here before.

  2. i’m in the military and i’m over seas right now. i paid $70 for two sets of these ear buds and never received thm in the mail, usually when i order something at an apo adress i’ll get it in 2 weeks at the most, it’s been three months and the company will not reimburse me at all.

  3. I’ve had to return these headphones twice because the volume simply gave up. I have no idea why – they were not submerged or mistreated in any way. I will say that Sennheiser honors their warranty but it still is a pain. The ear buds are hit or miss, depending on the size of your ear canal, and they tend to slip out if you’re moving around or running. The sound is not appreciably better than headphones you can get at Radio Shack for $9.99. I totally understand why they are being offered at such a steep discount. Don’t let the Sennheiser name persuade you to buy this lemon.

  4. These are great headphones with only one drawback. I wish the cord was about 6″ longer on the main pair. The extension is nice, but it quickly becomes too long.

Part of the reason that I like these headphones so much is that they fit well into your ear, they cancel out a surprising amount of noise and the sound quality is great. I like bass, and these deliver.

Well worth the cost, assuming you can deal with a shorter cord mentioned above.

  5. After spending 3X as much on Bose and Sony headphones that the cables eventually tore on, I was looking for something with good sound that I wouldn’t cry too much over if they broke. The CX400s are perfect for that. The midrange and upper spectrum sound really nice to me. The only thing that I’d say is that the bass is a little bit muddier than my old Bose or Sony headphones. That’s my only complaint. I’ll take that for under $30!
